Un-back doored Laptops or PC?

Searching for computers that are not back dored by gov and cab be easily encrypted. I had some older sources but the computers are too low spec.

Used Core 2 Duo's or earlier. Newer units have IntelME which makes you butt buddies with the CIA. All niche freedom devices are scams.

They're all not backdoored. Choose one that has a good spec, then search the web to see if it works well with Linux, if not then choose another, but if it is well supported then buy it and install a good Linux distro on it. What distro is good is another question.
